FAQ – Mud Kitchens
Can I use my Mud Kitchen outdoors?
Yes! All our Mud Kitchens are made from treated timber and stainless steel screws. Hinges are galvanised. Bowls are stainless steel and faucets are chrome. Our Mud Kitchens are made to be an investment – they are designed to LAST YEARS instead of months and have good resale value when the kids grow out of them.
How do I connect water to my Mud Kitchen?
Our Mud Kitchens come fitted with a typical male garden hose fitting. Simply connect your garden hose as you would to an outdoor tap and you’re away!
What do your Mud Kitchens weigh and can I move them easily?
Please see the description on each Mud Kitchen for weights in our Shop.
The ‘basic’ Mud Kitchen can be moved by one person.
How do I look after my Mud Kitchen?
Our Mud Kitchens are made from radiata pine, treated for outdoors, with a manufacture rating that it will not rot for up to 50 years. But being a product of nature, some timber will discolour over time (pine can sometimes turn greyish). This does not affect the treatment of the timber. If needed, you can use a paint, oil or stain from your local hardware store to maintain the look of your timber (ask them for details and products to use).
Applying oil to your timber will ensure it does not dry and crack – this is part of any care necessary for any outdoor timber products. Please note: Our 1 Year Limited Warranty does not cover neglect of care of the timber.
FAQ – Playhouses

We want happy customers and will work hard to ensure you receive what you have ordered.
Before any return is made, the customer must contact Hammer and Saw within seven days of delivery to begin the returns process. If there is an individual part that has a manufacturing defect, we may provide just that replacement part. The customer is responsible for any return shipping costs to Hammer and Saw. Hammer and Saw reserves the right to determine if a refund or exchange will be given.
