How will my product be shipped? What does it cost?

Shipping rates for North Island all products (excluding Playhouses and Premium Kennel):  Urban, $130. Rural, $180.

Shipping rates for South Island all products (excluding Playhouses and Premium Kennel): calculated at checkout.

All products apart from Playhouses are shipped with Mainfreight.

If you’d like to purchase multiple products, please contact us for customised shipping rates.

Your order is wrapped and protected thoroughly and can be delivered straight to your door in most cases.

Although the Flat Rate covers shipping to most locations, we double check all orders to ensure the correct shipping rates are charged to the customer, and that you have selected the correct shipping option.  In some rare instances, the shipping cost may need to be amended to cover the cost of freight to your specific address.  We will notify you before your order is sent if this is the case.  We reserve the right to amend any shipping costs.

How will my Playhouse be shipped? What does it cost?

We are currently only delivering to central and lower North Island.

Playhouse delivery/installation rates (choose at Checkout):
Free Pickup – Customer to collect from Bay View, Napier (you will require a HIAB or similar, it cannot be lifted by hand.  Please inquire in advance).
Napier – $20
Hastings/Havelock North – $25
Central and Lower North Island – $140 plus 79cents per km from Napier to your address.  Select Playhouse shipping option of $140 if you live in a valid region; you will be invoiced the 79cents per km separately after checkout based on your address.

Can I pick up my order?

You sure can! We are located in Bay View, Napier.

You can check the dimensions in our Shop to make sure it fits in your vehicle/trailer.

Playhouses: You will require a hiab or similar to lift our Playhouses.  Please enquire for more details on our Contact page.

FAQ – Mud Kitchens

Can I use my Mud Kitchen outdoors?

Yes!  All our Mud Kitchens are made from H3.2 outdoor treated timber.  All fixings and hinges are galvanised.  Bowls are stainless steel and faucets are chrome.  Our Mud Kitchens are made to last!

How do I connect water to my Mud Kitchen?

Our Mud Kitchens come fitted with a typical male garden hose fitting.  Simply connect your garden hose as you would to an outdoor tap and you’re away!

What do your Mud Kitchens weigh and can I move them easily?

Please see the description on each Mud Kitchen for weights in our Shop.

The ‘basic’ Mud Kitchen can be moved by one person.

FAQ – Playhouses

What are your Playhouses made from?

Our Playhouses are made from H3.2 outdoor treated timber, with the exception of the foundation which is H4 for ground contact.  The roof and apex flashing is colorsteel endura.  The windows are perspex safety (clear plastic).  And fixings and hinges are all galvanised.

With proper care our Playhouses should last decades.

How much do your Playhouses weigh?

Please see the description on each Playhouse for weights.

Is it easy to move a Playhouse?

Our Playhouses can be moved once fully assembled by dragging them.  Please inquire for advice on how to do this.

FAQ – Other

Are you GST registered?

Yes we are!  A GST invoice can be included in your order on request.

How long will it take to receive my order?

Typical turnaround time for most products is 3-5 weeks.  We can on rare occasions experience delays in timber supplies, in which your order may take longer Please contact us if you’d like to know our current turnaround times.

Do you provide a Warranty?

We provide a 1 Year Warranty on all of our builds.

What is your Returns Policy?

If you are concerned with the condition of your product upon delivery, please contact us with your order number.

We want happy customers and will work hard to ensure you receive what you have ordered.

Before any return is made, the customer must contact Hammer and Saw within seven days of delivery to begin the returns process. If a product appears to have been damaged in transit by our shipping company, contact must be made with Hammer and Saw within four days of delivery.

We will only accept a returned product and provide a refund or exchange if your product has a manufacturing defect.

If there is an individual part that has a manufacturing defect, we may provide just that replacement part.

The customer is responsible for any return shipping costs to Hammer and Saw.

Hammer and Saw reserves the right to determine if a refund or exchange will be given.
